TD GARDEN - Marcus Smart was interviewed postgame after the Celtics 145-136 win vs the Minnesota Timberwolves in overtime. He talked a lot about his playmaking, the nasty elbow he took from Karl-Anthony Towns, and Jayson Tatum’s monster game<br />Smart had eight assists on the night and commented on his ability to find open guys. “I was just being me,” said Smart. “I’m a point guard and I just try to take what the defense gives me and find the open guy.”<br />He also gave an update on how he was feeling after taking a nasty elbow at the hands of Karl-Anthony Towns. “My head’s okay… at the time it was a little sore,” said Smart. “”I thank God I got all this hair to kind of embrace the impact a little bit,” he mentioned jokingly.<br />The veteran guard went on to praise teammate Jayson Tatum after his monster, 50-point performance. He said that he and the team were trying to “support him whatever way we could.” Tatum exploded for his career-high and did so on super efficient shooting. “You know he’s making all the right plays down the stretch and you know when you got a player of his caliber that can do those types of things it’s fun to watch.
